Department of Global Politics and Governance

Cultivating Global Thinking!

The Department of Global Politics and Governance at the School of Liberal Arts offers an interdisciplinary exploration of political systems, international relations, public policy, and global governance by engaging students in the study of political systems, international relations, and policy-making in a rapidly transforming world. Rooted in the liberal arts tradition and aligned with the transformative vision of NEP 2020, the programme prepares students to engage with global challenges like democracy, development, conflict, and diplomacy through an interdisciplinary and globally contextualized curriculum.

In today’s world filled with complex challenges like climate change, migration to digital surveillance and shifting geopolitical alliances, we empower students to think critically, lead ethically, and act globally.

Our undergraduate programme promotes multidisciplinary and outcome-based learning through interactive coursework, policy simulations, research projects, and industry immersions that prepares students with real-world exposure and practical insight into the mechanics of power and governance.

The department nurtures the next generation of policy analysts, diplomats, civil servants, NGO leaders, political strategists, and academics—equipped not just with knowledge, but with the vision and tools to build a more inclusive, and sustainable world.
